A free, volunteer-run project to count every street dog in Nepal, list every vet, shelter and welfare group, and connect people who want to help with the dogs who need it.

Why Hamro Kukur exists Hamro Kukur किन

Nepal honours dogs on Kukur Tihar, yet nobody knows how many street dogs there are, where they live, or which ones are hurt. Without that, vaccination, sterilisation and care can’t reach the dogs who need them. Hamro Kukur is building the first shared count, one photo at a time.

कुकुर तिहारमा नेपालले कुकुरलाई सम्मान गर्छ, तर सडकमा कति कुकुर छन्, कहाँ छन्, कुन घाइते छन् भन्ने कसैलाई थाहा छैन। यो थाहा नभई खोप, बन्ध्याकरण र हेरचाह चाहिने कुकुरसम्म पुग्न सक्दैन। Hamro Kukur एक-एक फोटो गरेर पहिलो साझा गणना बनाउँदैछ।

Who runs it कसले चलाउँछ

Hamro Kukur is a volunteer project by Nepalis who love dogs, in Nepal and abroad. It is not a company and has no ads. Vets, shelters and animal welfare groups are listed for free, and volunteers review reports and keep the count clean.

Hamro Kukur कुकुरलाई माया गर्ने नेपाल र विदेशमा रहेका नेपालीहरूको स्वयंसेवी अभियान हो। यो कम्पनी होइन, यसमा विज्ञापन छैन। पशु चिकित्सक, आश्रय र पशु कल्याण संस्था निःशुल्क सूचीमा राखिन्छन्, र स्वयंसेवकले रिपोर्ट हेरेर गणना सफा राख्छन्।

How the count is used गणना कसरी प्रयोग हुन्छ

The count shows where dogs live and which ones need help, so NGOs, municipalities and vets can plan feeding, rabies vaccination and sterilisation. Totals and the map are public on this site. Volunteers from partner organisations can export the count for their area.

गणनाले कहाँ कति कुकुर छन् र कसलाई मद्दत चाहिन्छ भन्ने देखाउँछ, ताकि संस्था, नगरपालिका र पशु चिकित्सकले खाना, रेबिज खोप र बन्ध्याकरणको योजना बनाउन सकून्। कुल संख्या र नक्सा यस वेबसाइटमा सबैले हेर्न सक्छन्। साझेदार संस्थाका स्वयंसेवकले आफ्नो क्षेत्रको गणना निकाल्न सक्छन्।

What we never do हामी के कहिल्यै गर्दैनौं

We never sell or share personal data, never show who photographed a dog beyond the name they choose, never track anyone’s location in the background, and we are not asking for money. Read the privacy policy.
