Hamro Kukur (the Kukur app and hamrokukur.org) is a free, volunteer-run project to count and care for street dogs in Nepal. By using it you agree to these terms.
Be kind, post dogs
- Post photos of dogs. Don't photograph people's faces, private homes or anything private.
- No offensive, harmful or illegal content:
- no hate, harassment, threats, nudity or violence;
- no spam and no advertising;
- nothing that puts animals or people in danger.
- Names, notes and captions must be respectful.
- Don't post false reports on purpose. Help reports should be honest, so help goes where it's needed.
Zero tolerance
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users.
- Anyone can report: use Report on any photo, name or note.
- Anyone can block: block a person, so you no longer see their posts.
- Volunteers act: they review reports, usually within 24 hours. They remove content that breaks these terms, and ban the account that posted it.
Your content
- Photos, dog locations and details you post are shared publicly, to help count and care for dogs.
- You keep ownership of your photos. You allow Hamro Kukur to show them in the app and on the website, and to share the dog count with animal welfare groups and municipalities.
- You can delete your account and personal data at any time (Me → Delete my account and data).
Safety
Street dogs can be frightened or hurt.
- Keep a safe distance.
- Never put yourself in danger to take a photo.
- For an injured dog, call a vet or welfare group from Find help.
No guarantees
- Hamro Kukur is run by volunteers and provided as it is.
- Listings in Find help may be out of date: please call before you go.
- We may change or stop features.
